Postgame interviews: Georgia (Thursday)

No. 15 Mississippi State got its SEC home-opening series off to a strong start with a 9-2 victory over Georgia. MSU erupted for seven run on eight hits in the bottom of the fourth. State received a solid night from Reid Humphreys with a pair of homers and a double at the plate while Dakota Hudson tossed seven innings without allowing an earned run. Humphreys, Hudson and head coach John Cohen spoke about getting a win in Game 1.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
