Video: Dominique Dillingham, Morgan William

Mississippi State guards Dominique Dillingham and Morgan William preview their Sweet 16 match-up with top-ranked and top-seeded Connecticut.

Dominique Dillingham – Junior, Guard

On what playing the University of Connecticut means…

“They’ve always been good. They have the best players. To me it’s just another basketball game.”

On signing with Mississippi State before Vic Schaefer ever coached at MSU

“He’s a great coach and he’s won a national championship. That’s what I wanted to do when I got here. I love everything he stands for. It was just a great way to go for me.”

On her mindset for the Sweet 16 game against UConn…

For some people it’s harder than others, but for me, my mentality, it’s just another game.”

 Morgan William – Sophomore, Guard

On what playing the University of Connecticut means…

“They’re a great team and it’s an honor to get to play them in my college career. Like Dom (Dominique Dillingham) said, they’re another basketball team, just with UConn (University of Connecticut) written across their shirt.”

On being tested during the game…

We have to play smart and remember that each position matters. We can’t go in a drought against UConn because we wont be able to win if we do.”

On being eager to play against UConn…

“I’m excited. I like the bright lights. I like going out there and playing against the best. I feel like if I go out there and play the best that I can, my teammates will follow behind me.”

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
