Mississippi State’s Victoria Vivians received an honorable mention on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America team on Monday.
Vivians was also a WBCA All-Region 2 and first team All-SEC selection. She also received the Gillom Trophy, presented to the top women’s college basketball player in Mississippi.
The sophomore guard from Carthage was second in the SEC in scoring averaging 17.1 points per game. Vivians scored in double figures 31 times during the season including 13 games with 20-plus points and a pair of 30-point games.
Vivians is already 17th on the school’s all-time scoring list and fourth in 3-pointers after only two seasons.
