Rising junior Kayla Nevitt is leaving Mississippi State after two seasons and intends to transfer according to a team spokesman.

The 5-foot-10 guard from Houston, Texas played in 30 games this past season for the Bulldogs averaging 3.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 9.8 minutes. Nevitt shot 40.6 percent from the field including 34.8 percent from 3-point range.

She concludes her MSU career after 48 games and scoring 157 points.

Nevitt’s next destination is not yet known.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
