Mississippi State first baseman Nathaniel Lowe has been tabbed the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week after a dominating series at the plate against Missouri.
Lowe led the Bulldogs to a sweep going 9-for-13 with two doubles, a home run, four RBIs, a walk and three runs scored.
The junior from Marietta, Georgia now has 20 multi-hit games this season and leads MSU with 66 hits. Lowe is batting .351 on the year with 14 doubles, four homers, 38 RBIs and two stolen bases.
Lowe is the second Diamond Dog to be named SEC Player of the Week this season joining Brent Rooker and the fifth time a State player has been honored with the weekly award from the league in 2016.
Texas A&M’s Kyle Simonds was named SEC Pitcher of the Week and Kentucky pitcher Sean Hjelle and LSU outfielder Brennan Breaux were SEC Co-Freshmen of the Week.
