Last meeting: Arkansas took the first two games from the Bulldogs 7-6 and 6-1 last year in Fayettville to take the series. MSU won the finale 2-1.

About the Razorbacks: Arkansas has lost its last 10 games…The Razorbacks will be without head coach Dave Van Horn during Thursday’s game as he attends his daughter’s high school graduation…Arkansas is tied with Tennessee for 13th in the SEC standings, a game behind Auburn and Missouri for the final spot to qualify for the SEC Tournament…The Hogs are last in the SEC in steals (37) and ERA (5.11)…Arkansas has only three batters hitting over .300 on the year.

About the Bulldogs: MSU has won eight consecutive games including back-to-back SEC sweeps for the first time since 2003…The Bulldogs have won eight of their nine SEC series for the first time since 1988, tying the most in school history…John Cohen is 8-15 against Arkansas as MSU head coach…Infielders Hunter Stovall (leg) and Luke Alexander (wrist) are expected to be available this weekend…MSU is second in the SEC with a .312 batting average and leads the league with 578 hits and 114 doubles…RF Jake Mangum ranks second in the SEC hitting .405. while 1B Nathaniel Lowe is second with 17 doubles.
