Mississippi State junior Zac Houston was voted to the SEC All-Tourmament team for his stellar pitching performance in the Bulldogs’ 4-1 over Alabama.

Houston made his fifth start and first against an SEC opponent this season firing an absolute gem, finishing one out away from a complete game shutout.

Houston logged a career-best 8 2/3 innings and earned the win against the Crimson Tide allowing one run on four hits with five strikeouts.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound right-hander from Poplarville is the first Bulldog to be named to the SEC All-Tournament team since C.T. Bradford and Gavin Collins were selected in 2014.

This spring, Houston is 5-0 with a 1.93 ERA, 32 strikeouts and 16 walks over 17 appearances.
