Kickoff times and television networks have been named for the first three Mississippi State football games this fall.

The Bulldogs open at home against South Alabama on Sept. 3 at 11 a.m. on SEC Network then host South Carolina the following week at 6 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2. MSU will hit the road for the first time Sept. 17 at LSU at 6 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The Bulldogs are 2-0 against South Alabama last defeating the Jaguars 35-3 in Mobile in 2014. South Carolina is 9-6 against Mississippi State having won the last seven meetings including a 34-16 victory in Columbia in 2013.

LSU also leads the series over the Bulldogs by a 72-34-3 margin and won 21-19 in Starkville last season.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
