Mississippi State’s Dakota Hudson was named to his fourth All-American team on Thursday.

The junior right-handed pitcher was picked as a third team All-American by D1Baseball.com joining previous second team honors from Baseball America, Louisville Slugger and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Hudson led the Bulldogs with 115 strikeouts in 113 innings spanning his 17 starts this spring. He posted a 9-5 record with a 2.55 ERA.

The Dunlap, Tennessee native was the 34th overall selection of the St. Louis Cardinals in last week’s MLB Draft.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
