Dakota Hudson

Mississippi State’s Dakota Hudson received his sixth All-American distinction after the junior pitcher was picked to Perfect Game’s third team.

Hudson was named a second team All-American by Baseball America, Louisville Slugger and the NCBWA and a third team All-American by D1 Baseball.com and ABCA.

The Dunlap, Tennessee native went 9-5 in 17 starts with a 2.55 ERA, 115 strikeouts and 35 walks over 113 innings of work.

Hudson signed a $2 million contract after the St. Louis Cardinals drafted him 34th overall. He will begin his professional career in the Gulf Coast League.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
