Mississippi State and Tulane were scheduled to meet in Starkville this fall until the Green Wave backed out of the deal late and forced the Bulldogs into a road game at Massachusetts on Sept. 24.

But Tulane is back on the Bulldogs’ schedule in the future as the two schools agreed to a home-and-home series. The Green Wave will visit MSU on Oct. 3, 2020 and the Bulldogs will make the return trip to New Orleans on Oct. 7, 2023.

State leads the all-time series 30-26-2 over Tulane since the two first met in 1901. The Bulldogs claimed the last win in the series 38-17 in New Orleans in 2007.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
