Mississippi State landed the commitment of three-star offensive tackle Montravious Richardson on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder from Albany, Georgia chose the Bulldogs over an offer from Georgia State.

He announced his decision via Twitter stating “First off I want to Thank the Good Lord for putting me in this Position. Next I want to Thank my Coaches, Team mate’s, Mentors and Teachers for pushing me to the best of my Abilities on and off the field. I want to Thanks my parents for giving endless Love and Support. It’s been a Long Journey to get to this point in my life. Now I want to Thanks the University that gave me a chance to play at the next level. With that being said I’M OFFICIALLY COMMITTED TO MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY”.

Richardson is the fifth offensive lineman to pledge to MSU in its 2017 class out of the 21 commitments.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
