Fans hoping to get a glimpse of Vic Schaefer‘s nationally ranked Mississippi State squad during the non-conference season will have very limited opportunties to do so in Starkville.

The Bulldogs will play only three non-SEC games inside Humphrey Coliseum against Texas (Nov. 20), Alabama State (Dec. 20) and Northwestern State (Dec. 28). MSU also hosts an exhibition against Arkansas-Fort Smith on Nov. 3.

The Bulldogs will participate in the Maine Tipoff Tournament Nov. 11-12 against Purdue and Maine or Villanova, the Waikiki Beach Mariott Tournament Nov. 25-27 against Oregon, San Jose State and Hawaii, the SEC/Big 12 Challenge at Iowa State on Dec. 3 and the Women of Troy Classic Dec. 16-17 against SMU and Grambling or USC.

State will also travel to Southern Miss on Dec. 10 and Arkansas-Little Rock on Dec. 13.

The only other scheduled home date for MSU will be against Tulane in Biloxi on Nov. 16.

I have covered Mississippi State in some capacity since 2004 and joined the Daily Journal staff in 2013. I enjoy short walks on the beach, performing concerts in my car and watching professional wrestling.
