Florida is expected to formally announce Scott Stricklin as its athletic director at a press conference Tuesday according to a report from the USA Today.
The report stated that Stricklin was in Gainesville finalizing the deal on Monday.
Stricklin is a Mississippi State alum and has served as the Bulldogs’ director of athletics since 2010. The Jackson native also served as MSU’s senior associate athletic director of external affairs from 2008-10 and in the media relations department from 1990-92.
Stricklin has also worked at Auburn, Tulane, Baylor and Kentucky during his career.
He is expected to takeover for longtime Florida AD Jeremy Foley, who is retiring on Saturday.
