UTEP getting healthy

Bret Bloomquist of The El-Paso Times reports that UTEP will have the services of senior wide receiver and special teams performer Mike Edwards when the Miners visit Ole Miss Saturday. That wasn’t thought to be the case earlier this week.

Edwards sustained a concussion in the Miners’ 24-7 loss to Oklahoma on opening night.

Writes Bloomquist: “Coach Mike Price briefly described it as a ‘minor concussion’ but quickly corrected himself and said there are no minor concussions. He said both Monday and Tuesday that Edwards was unlikely to play against Ole Miss, but Edwards passed the required concussion test and except for wearing a red no-hit jersey was full go today and will play both receiver and primary punt returner against Ole Miss.”

  • PA, you looked like a natural movie star on “The Season.”

  • UTEP, I believe this once was Texas Western who then beat a good Rebel football team in a bowl game.

Just hope that Ole Miss Rebel defense is healthy and up for this game. Stop the running attack!!!!!
