To start, here’s a Nick Williams video following Ole Miss’ 90-72 win over Coastal Carolina that didn’t make it up last night due to technical difficulties.

From Baton Rouge, LSU’s pass defense is ranked No. 3 nationally in terms of efficiency, but the Tigers, with a mix of veterans and youth in the secondary, gave up 304 passing yards to Mississippi State quarterback Tyler Russell. It was the first time this season for an opposing quarterback to pass for 300 or more yards against LSU, and the Tigers will try to keep that from becoming a trend when Ole Miss visits.

Speaking of LSU, it’s been 40 years since the clock game, and the most important Tigers on one of the most remembered plays in the history of the series — quarterback Bert Jones and running back Brad Davis — will be honored at the game Saturday night. From Columbia, South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier is one win away from tying an SEC record held by Bear Bryant, and that win will most likely come Saturday against Wofford. …

From Gainesville, quarterback Jeff Driskel will likely miss the Gators’ non-conference game against Jacksonville State Saturday …

I guess this is old news, but first I heard of it:

UCF lands touted former Ole Miss commit in Georgia LB Mario Mathis

  • I’m pretty sure we revoked his offer, so we didn’t “lose” his commitment.
