Gruden Watch

Jon Gruden hasn’t coached since 2008, but he’s been identified as the next big thing in the profession with a number of programs, currently Arkansas and Tennessee, set to break open the bank to see if he can deliver Nick Saban-type results. Looks like an honest-to-goodness bidding war. Hogs, Vols and Gruden

  • I am not in a Gruden watch, but it will interesting to see if Jon Gurden will step down in class and degrade his Pro coaching talents to become a college coach., i cannot believe he will, but never know theses days what will happen in the sports arena.

EGG BOWL: Dec. 1, 1962 Mississippi State, Oxford 13 6. this is the last on the scene live football game that i ever watched between theses two teams. A Young soph Jim Wetherly came off the bench replacing an All American QB to win the game for Ole Miss. that Miss state team had numerous player who went on into Pro foottball and making it good,Me and family just returned to Oxford after a three year tour of duty with Air force in England. Oxford still had MP on patrol. IT was off to FLorida for us to live and become Florida natives, that is true for my family later on. all native Floridians. Its been now about three years since we went back up there. My memory of Oxford is fading fast, viewed it yesterday on Google Earth and did not recognize the place.
I think Ole Miss will win this years egg bowl. no score in sight.
