Three out of five ain’t bad

With apologies to Meat Loaf, a little modification in the headline of their old tune from back in the day. My day at least.

As you can read in this account from the Mother Ship, tight end Ferbia Allen says three out of five ain’t bad.

With the desolation that has marked Ole Miss football the last two years, it’s easy to consider back-to-back Cotton Bowls a distant memory, but Allen hasn’t forgotten and is proud of the fact that Ole Miss seniors, if they are fifth-year seniors, can say they went to a bowl game three times in five seasons.

Whether Cotton Bowl or Compass Bowl, it really doesn’t matter. Getting to a bowl game takes a lot of hard work and it’s a big accomplishment, Allen says.

  • I agree with him….but the “gifts” at the Bowl game that chooses you sure does matter….and I don’t think there is much comparision between those 2…what do you think?

I saw the Compass Bowl gifts list a while back. Nothing jumped out as being great or not so great, but I do think there’s quite a bit of difference in the two bowls.
