Mizzou missing key piece

No. 10 Missouri will be without its leading scorer and second-leading rebounder, Laurence Bowers, when the Tigers visit Ole Miss Saturday night at 7.

Bowers, a senior forward, is fifth in the SEC in scoring at 16.8 points a game, second in field goal percentage at 58.1, and he’s averaging almost 7 rebounds a game.

More here.

Bowers sprained an MCL in a collision with teammate Phil Pressey, the Tigers’ point guard, who is averaging 13.6 points a game and leads the SEC in assists at 7.6 per game.

The Rebels played well in most phases of the game in a 92-74 win at Tennessee Wednesday night.

While guards Marshall Henderson and Jarvis Summers stole the show, the Rebels also got double-doubles from Reggie Buckner (13 points, 15 rebounds) and Murphy Holloway (15 points, 12 rebounds) in the frontcourt.
