Nutt and the Cowboys

On the eve of the Ole Miss-Arkansas basketball game, this from the Pro Football Talk blog at NBCSports.com.

In recent years Houston Nutt might have been holding down a spot at the corner table at Tad Smith at the end of the Rebels’ bench.

Not tomorrow. The blog says Nutt, who coached 10 years at Arkansas before coaching four at Ole Miss, has interviewed with Arkansas alum Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys.

What position Nutt would coach is not known at this time, nor is it clear if he would have the opportunity to host a press conference which would be shown on the big video board where he could pronounce Enrique Davis’ name.

Personally, I wish nothing but the best for Coach Nutt. I hope his health and happiness have both improved. I still don’t like Jerry Jones or the cowgirls. Go Giants usually, but it’s Go 49ers now.
