Sophomore forward Aaron Jones emerged from the dressing area — no Marshall Henderson today — and spoke about the Rebels’ upcoming game against Tennessee.

Here’s Jones talking about what he remembers from the Rebels’ 92-74 win in Knoxville on the SEC’s opening night: Jones audio clip

Henderson lit up Tennessee with 32 points that night, and his personality was not fully embraced or appreciated the way it is for Ole Miss home games.

Henderson is the current SEC player of the week and will no doubt draw extra attention from the Vols Thursday night. He’s drawn extra attention all year and still seems to get his points and drop in timely 3-pointers even if his percentage is sometimes lacking.

Jones talks about the physicality of the Vols, a personality trait that is still very prevalent with them in spite of the absence of Jeronne Maymon, he says. Ole Miss had a good night on the glass in Knoxville going plus-15 in the win.

Jarnell Stokes can be a load, but the Vols struggled with Murphy Holloway and Reggie Buckner who both had double-doubles.
