Big week for Ole Miss basketball

Off to its best SEC basketball start in school history, big challenges await Ole Miss this week.

Kentucky is a mere fraction of what it has been, but it’s still Kentucky. It still plays a monster schedule and will be the most talented team Ole Miss has faced since Missouri, which was without its leading scorer at the time.

The Wildcats come in 13-6 overall, 4-2 in the SEC.

The Rebels (17-2, 6-0) were able to win against Tennessee in spite of foul trouble and poor first-half shooting. They survived horrid free throw shooting against Auburn (4-for-17) for their third SEC road win.

They will need to be sharper in those areas against Kentucky and then at No. 8 Florida Saturday.
