Spanning the globe on a Monday morning …

While Ole Miss hosts Texas A&M Wednesday night in a crucial SEC basketball game — They’re all crucial from here on out for the Rebels — here’s a look at what Texas A&M’s football stadium — Kyle Field — will look like after its $425 million renovation.

Speaking of the bubble, it’s a familiar place for Ole Miss this time of year. Some have the Rebels in the NCAA tournament, some do not. Here’s a USA Today account. At last glance Joe Lunardi of ESPN had the Rebels in. I was watching the CBS guys at halftime on Sunday, and they have the Rebels out. One thing seems to be agreed upon by most: One more loss, and the Rebels are no longer in the discussion. …

Maybe this would be a good time for Ole Miss to host that quick turn with a Tuesday night game. That would cause Texas A&M to travel after a four-overtime loss to Tennessee on Saturday. Here’s the recap. As it is, the Rebels will have to make due with the traditional Wednesday mid-week game and will have to find a way to slow down Elston Turner, something they did not do in a 69-67 loss in College Station. Had they simply held Turner to 30 points, Ole Miss would have picked up a quality road win. Instead, Turner scored 37. He’s the son of Elston Turner, the fifth-leading scorer in Ole Miss history. …

Tennessee is on a bit of a hot streak right now, having won five straight, and that helps the Ole Miss RPI. But really, for Ole Miss right now, it’s all about winning games. …
