In college baseball, Memphis visits Ole Miss today after taking three games from SEC newcomer Missouri, which has started the season 0-6. The Rebels will try to improve to 8-0. Ole Miss has some recent postseason history with Missouri, going 1-1 against Mizzou at the Miami regional in 2008 and hosting Missouri in Oxford in 2009. There’s more history between Memphis and Ole Miss, and the closer Tigers usually give Ole Miss trouble.
Memphis will start left-hander Michael Wills, who hasn’t given up a run in 4.2 innings this season. He’s walked two and struck out six.
Ole Miss right-hander Josh Laxer has had similar success out of the bullpen this season and will start today.
