Rebels Sweep

Ole Miss defeated Florida International 8-1 to sweep the three-game series on the road, the Rebels’ third-straight weekend sweep.

Stuart Turner doubled twice, tripled and drove in three runs to lead a 10-hit attack.

Sam Smith went six innings giving up six hits, one run — unearned — a walk and striking out five.

Ole Miss is back in action Tuesday at 5 against Southeastern Louisiana.

The players don’t deserve to go anywhere in post season after the way they played yesterday.Keep them at home to watch everybody else play.

  • Do what? got beat by the 223rd ranked ream? A team with 5 scholarship players and 2 walkons? Reminds me of the Egg Bowl. The better team, showed up thinking that the uniforms would beat the other team. As the Egg Bowl proved, the better team doesn’t always win. Sometimes the lesser team has more will and more urgency. Oh well, The Gator Bowl wasn’t bad and neither will the NIT.

Can’t believe I’m agreeing with the dawg. The better team in the Egg Bowl did do that in 2011, 2010, ang 2009…

    • Only problem with this statement is that Ole Miss was favored in the egg bowl. So, it kinda makes your statement….well, untrue.
