Ole Miss 8, Texas A&M 2

A few highlights here from the Rebels’ 8-2 win over Texas A&M in Game 1 of the series.

Bobby Wahl was solid in eight innings, scattering seven hits and allowing two runs, one earned, with no walks and nine strikeouts.

Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco called him the story of the game.

Offensively the Rebels had 11 hits against five different A&M pitchers, though two of them faced ony a combined three batters.

Stuart Turner was 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs. Auston Bousfield, Austin Anderson and Will Allen also had two-hit games.

Ole Miss is 21-2, 3-1 SEC. Texas A&M is 15-8, 3-1.

Game 2 is tomorrow night at 7:30 and will air on ESPNU.
