Rebels slide five spots

Ole Miss dropped five spots to No. 11 in this week’s release of the Baseball America top 25 following a series loss at home to unranked Texas A&M.

The Rebels were swept in two seven-inning games on Sunday.

Ole Miss is back in action Wednesday night at 6:30 at Swayze Field against Arkansas State. The Red Wolves are 16-9 overall, 2-2 in Sun Belt Conference play.

There is a possibility that they could even drop further in the polls
after this week is concluded. Or rise. A mid week game with Arkansas State and three
game series down here with the Gators. Gators have a total 265 batting average with 16 HRs and 101 RBis, They have five players in the line up that can deliver the long ball at any given time. total pitching, an ERA of 4.62. Gators like OM they will use many pitchers during the course of a game. Last weekend they took one game from #2 Vandy and was not out of the other two. As far as Ark State I have no idea how strong or weak they are. The Gators take on FSU the #6 ranked team tonight. FSU took the last game a couple weeks back and could do it again tonight. Gator Freshmen more game experience now than then. So wait and see situation. JB
