Wednesday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Wednesday morning. …

As the basketball season was extended, I’ve yet to see a spring football practice. That will change in a couple of hours today. Here’s an interesting take on Ole Miss from a Tony Barnhart blog post last week. He notes the recruiting class, salutes it, and says there will have to be several more just like it for the Rebels to rise in the SEC. That’s an opinion different from the one Hugh Freeze offered on Signing Day. …

Joel Kight, a senior linebacker last year, is one of 10 finalists for a national award that honors African-Americans for academics and service. …

Former Ole Miss coach Tommy Tuberville is giving $300,000 to help Cincinnati with its Olympic sports teams. …

La Salle Sweet 16 t-shirts are flying off the shelves in Philly. …

Speaking of Ole Miss’ NCAA opponents, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan had his Wikipedia page vandalized after the Badgers lost to Ole Miss on Friday in Kansas City. …

Slightly faster 40 times may have Notre Dame’s Te’o “in the mix” to be a first-round pick. …

MY FEELINGS IS THAT ANDY KENNEDY SHOULD STAY UNTILL THEY BUILD A GEM TO SEE WHAT HE CAN DO THEN.

    • I agree. I hope that we build a Gem of a Gym.

Mr. Kennedy did a good job with what he had to work with. OM probably the worse free throwing shooting team in major college league. Mr K cannot shoot the charity shots for his team. as far as I care He can stay or go out to greener pastures. He deserves better. JB
