Part of Ole Miss’ undoing in a 5-4 loss at Auburn Sunday — A Game 3 loss that clinched the series for previously struggling Auburn — was the Tigers’ outfield defense by Hunter Kelley. Rebels appear as for now to make the SEC baseball tournament, but seeding will be very important, and seeding team lower than number will have their work cut out for them. My guess is that Vandy will be No. 1 seed, LSU #2, Arkansas #3 and South Carolina # 4. If my thinking is correct, and it is seldom this ole farm boy’s think is about like fresh cow manure, runny and stinky. So it looks as the 5 thru 12 seed teams with a first round lose the four losing teams goes home. the winning four teams survive to fight another day. Then they get into a double elimination round of play. Miss State could very well be the surprise team in this tournament. State is very strong in pitching and hitting So,my pick is the Dawgs of Starkville as SEC tournament champs and on to NCAA regional play some where, It could be down here in Florida. FSU could possible be host to a regional.
