Standing behind bullpen

LSU feels it has nothing left to prove in the regular season. That may be the case for the Tigers, who will sit their ace this weekend, but that isn’t the case for Ole Miss, which can improve its postseason seeding.

Success in Baton Rouge will depend on the bullpen at some point over the next three games. Ole Miss starting pitchers have been pretty good of late. Mike Mayers and Sam Smith in today’s update from the Mother Ship express confidence that the bullpen can be pretty good too.

The odds for Ole Miss sweeping LSU and drawing a bye in SEC tournament play is about as good as winning Florida lottery. I think Gators have a much better chance for a bye than they. Miss State has the better chance for one of those bye’s, that is if they sweep SO, Caroline of which they wont. OM bullpen had better perk up or the Rebels stay in the SEC tournament will be short an sweet. Ole Miss loses in the first round of the SEC tournament and their season is probably over.
