Friday Morning Update

Just a note to say I’ll be away from the blog for most of today and the weekend.

Tonight is Tupelo High School graduation, an event which this year includes our daughter, Emily Alford.

We will have family coming and going. Part of today’s plan included driving my mother to Oxford and just letting her see the Square and the campus, but the weather has changed that plan.

Good day to all, and I will check in later.

As per SEC web of probable pitchers OM has Wahl scheduled to pitch against LSU on Sat. The SEC tournament starts on Tuesday, 21 May 13 that wont give wahl much rest to pitch the first game of the Tournament. OM lose that first game and season is probably over for them. The first round of the tournament is single elimination – double elimination don’t start until second round. So as I see it four losing teams in first round will go home and hopeful wait for NCAA Bid, four winners on to round two to face the four bye’s teams in a double elimination. Good luck Rebels. I believe in miracles.

Ole Miss win the third game today with LSU 11-9, finishing regular sec with 15-15 and that should be enough for a #6 seed in next weeks SEC tournament. Rebels showed power at the plate with trips down town delivering the goods. Now on to Hoover next week.
