Ole Miss-Texas set for Longhorn Network

ESPN, which just celebrated with the SEC the creation of the SEC Network, has put one conference member’s fans in a bind for a big inter-sectional football matchup.

ESPN announced earlier this morning that the Ole Miss-Texas game on Sept. 14 will be televised by The Longhorn Network. Kickoff has been set for 7 p.m.

The ESPN news release lists 13 outlets that carry the network, Comcast not among them.

Ole Miss has responded on Twitter with this: “Ole Miss & ESPN are working on TV accommodations for Rebel fans for the Texas game.”

Ole Miss spokesman Kyle Campbell says a news release with Ross Bjork reaction is in the works. Perhaps it will include more specifics on a possible resolution.

I have reached out to ESPN with no response as of yet.
