MLB Draft begins tonight

There are lots of ways to follow the  MLB draft which begins tonight at 6 with the first 73 picks. Rounds 3-10 will be tomorrow.

It’s possible that Bobby Wahl and Mike Mayers could hear their names called tonight. Wahl is a projected first-rounder. Mayers projects in the second or third rounds according to Perfect Game.

Catcher Stuart Turner has been projected to go in the third or fourth rounds.

Sometimes circumstances change, talks break down, prospects are unhappy about one thing or another. The stronger possibility, though, is that the Rebels will have to replace their top three underclassmen.

Keep an eye on signee Cody Reed tonight as well. He’s a left-handed pitcher from Northwest CC.

Northwest CC, I was confined to that Institution once for about a year and half but it was Northwest Miss JR College in those days. Two of our pitchers, one signed by the Phillies and the other old NY Giants. For me, I signed on with the US Air force. JB
