Hymon commitment impact; Preseason watch lists

by John Luke McCord

Yesterday Andy Kennedy garnered another commitment from the Memphis area that has been so good to him in his time at Ole Miss. It marked the second commitment of the class of 2014, joining shooting guard prospect Gian Luis Clavell.

For Ole Miss this means they are likely just another guard away from putting the finishing touches on the 2014 class. It also continues build an Ole Miss presence in Memphis and the momentum the program gained in March.

Not to mention what Hymon will actually bring to the floor. Hymon is a stretch forward that really looks more like a small forward right now. He will need to add weight, but his skill is undeniable. He is a solid rebounder and has an improving shot. He should be a real asset in Andy Kennedy’s offense.

Football Rebels on preseason watch lists

– Evan Swindall – Rimington watch list(best center).

– Bo Wallace – Maxwell watch list(best overall player).

Remember that the third Dandy Dozen player is named at 12 and I’ll be back to share more on that and also, Rod Taylor announces at 1. So head back later.
