Practice notes, observations

By Hayden Sowers

Robert Nkemdiche took every snap with the first team defense today. He was getting double-teamed on almost every play, and was still penetrating through into the backfield. Look for Robert to start the opener against Vanderbilt.

The second team LBs, Keith Lewis and Serderius Bryant, continued their good work today. Coach Tom Allen specifically pointed out Bryant saying that he “committed his body to the program and is a step faster.”

WR Quincy Adeboyejo showed some nice speed beating CB Dehendret Collins on a  70 yard TD reception in team drills. Adeboyejo and Laquon Treadwell will both see major time on the field this fall.

DE Cameron Whigham and RB Kalio Moore both were hurt today with what was described as “dings to the head,” and the new concussion tests will now be performed on both players. DE CJ Johnson, DT Issac Gross, OL Patrick Junen, and CB Charles Sawyer were all still held out of practice due to injuries.

Freeze will have some tough decisions to make regarding redshirts for some of these incoming freshmen. CB Bobby Hill, RBs Jordan Wilkins, Mark Dodson, and Kalio Moore, S Derrick Jones, and OL Daronte Bouldin have all made their way into the 2-deep and all but Bouldin could help immediately on special teams.

Two transfers S Anthony Alford and DE Fadol Brown, from Southern Mississippi and Florida International respectively, are two guys who will play, and play alot, after they sit out this year due to transfer rules.  Both are two of the better put together guys on the team.

QB Bo Wallace didn’t have his A+ game today throwing multiple picks in team drills. S Trae Elston and S Cody Prewitt both had interceptions off of Wallace.  Freshman QB DeVante Kincade had snaps with the 1st and 2nd teams today and continued to impress.  Kincade is giving 2nd team QB Barry Brunetti a push for the backup QB role.

Ole Miss’s second practice of the day is scheduled for 5:15 this afternoon and is closed to the media.

The NCAA has cleared CJ Johnson….but from what I hear…some trails were uncovered..stay tuned for more suspense.

you need new sources. The NCAA doesn’t close investigations
and make an announcement until they are through investigating all trails. If they see multiple potential violations by a single team, they don’t have
individual announcements for each one. They wait until all have been looked into and then make their announcement. However, I’m sure that won’t dissuade your from your trolling. I suppose that the only thing that would do that is if your parents kicked you out and you were forced to go get a *gasp* job.

Cid do you have anything better to do with your free time other than troll Ole Miss Articles? Oh wait! You’re a TSBU Starkhell dwelling leg humper. I GUESS YOU DON’T … LOL.
