Building Depth

You’d rather not have injuries, but if you must — and Ole Miss has had plenty through this first week of camp — there is a plus side.

For the Rebels, that’s getting meaningful reps for young guys who are going to have to play meaningful roles.

From the mother ship, today’s column.

DL Woodrow Hamilton and cornerbacks Quintavius Burdette and Dehendret Collins are guys who are going to have to contribute.

I think the Rebels have a diamond in the rough with Hamilton at nose, and Burdette has looked very athletic at corner.

There’s ability to work with, and the snaps these guys are getting with the first team units — whether or not they remain there — are very important in their development.
