Duke, Morris and motivation

From the mother ship this morning, our take on the comings and goings along the offensive line.

Jared Duke ran first team at left guard yesterday, a position that Aaron Morris has had a lock on for two years.

Duke, a senior, has five career starts to 19 for Morris, who is beginning his junior year.

Morris was ranked the No. 146 players in the nation by Rivals and was ranked the No. 26 guard by Scout as a prep senior at Jackson Callaway.

Duke was rated the No. 67 tackle by Rivals.

There’s a lot invested in Morris right now, and this isn’t the first time coaches have talked about his motivation.

I suspect Morris will be the starter when the Vanderbilt game arrives. We’ll see.
