Ole Miss gets commitment from Rivals’ top kicker

Memphis University School kicker Gary Wunderlich, the nation’s No. 1 rated kicker by Rivals.com, has committed to Ole Miss.

Wunderlich had been a Virginia commit since April. He announced his decision on Twitter today.

Judging by other Twitter comments the decision was not an easy one.

Rivals rates Wunderlich a 3-star prospect.

I have two grandsons that I feel could have been a College football kicker, both soccer style kicker with distance. one got a leg ending career injury the other a promising baseball player with very good power, got hit by two fast ball pitchers and that was the end of baseball for him, but now, both, one is a student at North Florida Univ the other a student at Northwest Florida State. I have urged them to complete their college education that they will need it. They love me and I them, they just have a big laugh Papaw saying he is just an ole Johnny Rebel of the past. Time solves all. One day appearing out of the Eastern Skies it shall come we shall all know the truth, the way and the life.
