Thursday 8.15 Practice Update

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze commended his players for pushing through what he called a “grind” at this morning’s practice.

Charles Sawyer returned to practice but was held out of contact. That’s a good step forward for the Ole Miss secondary.

Here’s Freeze:

Basically, there’s not a lot going on right now. The coaches have a real good idea about how first and second teams are lining up.

The goal now is to get the team as healthy as possible leading up to game-planning for Vanderbilt which will begin in some fashion next week.

We did talk to former walk-on wide receiver Jordan Holder. He’s a senior from Bay Springs and has put himself in position to have a chance to play. His father, Jamie Holder, was a three-year letterman at Ole Miss as a wide receiver in the early 1980s.
