Tuesday 8-20 Practice Update

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze was pleased with this evening’s work as attention begins to turn to game-planning for Vanderbilt.

Here’s Freeze:

While most positions are set, don’t rule out the idea of Patrick Junen, who missed the first two weeks of practice, starting at right guard over Justin Bell.

Bell missed practice today with a back issue that isn’t believed to be major. That provided Junen with the chance to get reps with the ones.

OL coach Matt Luke says he’s not finished evaluating that position.

Luke has been pleased with the depth he’s been able to build and says he plans to play four guards and three tackles. Presumably the four guards would be the Bell-Junen runner-up and Justin Duke, and the third tackle will be Laremy Tunsil.

Here’s some video from today’s viewing period as defensive ends CJ Johnson and Robert Nkemdiche work in a warm-up drill.
