Game Day: Ole Miss at Texas

A little more pressure on the passer could go along way for the Rebels tonight, especially with Texas starting QB David Ash out of the game.

Maybe that improved rush comes from junior DE C.J. Johnson, who has been working his way back to health from the broken leg he sustained in spring drills.

Here’s Johnson from earlier this week:

Texas’ QB is on the shelf, they have a new Dcord and the head coach has lost the team. If the Sharkfins don’t win this game, they really have squandered a primo opportunity. If Texas played Oklahoma St., who wins?

I will be very disappointed if the Rebels don’t win this game. Most of the sports analysts/writers favor an Ole Miss victory. If the Rebels go into the game not over confident from Texas’ problems and tend to business, they walk out a winner. Then, with a week off to rest and heal any injuries it could make for an interesting match up with Alabama on Sept. 28. Go Aggies! :)) Go Rebels!

If Texas played Oklahoma state today…who wins?

    • Missouri Rebel

Oklahoma State by 3….despite their troubles, I’m just not convinced that Texas is as bad as everyone thinks…

        I agree.

These are two teams that have made key mistakes during the game. They have not beat Ole Miss but have Texas. This game comes down to who makes the mistakes that cost them the game. Both teams, if they follow form will make major mistakes.

Hate to tell you guys: “I told you so”. Ole Miss beat Texas just as I predicted. I didn’t predict a score, just a Rebel win.
Ye who have little faith. Believe and it can happen. Get everyone back in good health and shape and we’ll see what happens in T’town on 9/28. One thing is for sure: Coach Freeze and the Rebels will not be intimidated by ‘Bama.
    Fins UP!!!
