Ole Miss coordinators talk Alabama

Ole Miss coordinators Dave Wommack and Dan Werner discuss Alabama.

The Tide has been inconsistent with its rushing offense, getting just 132 yards a game. That’s 90th in America, last in the SEC, an uncommon placement for Alabama in any statistical category.

Ole Miss had success against Alabama last year, limiting the Tide to 127 rushing yards and holding Eddie Lacy to under 100.

TJ Yeldon was the Tide’s No. 2 back in that game and averaged 3.8 yards a carry.

Here’s Wommack:

Werner says the Alabama defense is big, physical and fast and is “basically the same thing you see every year. They get a lot of guys going to the NFL, and they reload.”

Through three games Alabama is ninth in the league in scoring defense, giving up 373 yards a game but is fourth in scoring defense at 19.3 points per game, compared to Ole Miss’ 10th in scoring defense at 23.7 points.

Here’s Werner:
