Freeze on Tyler Siskey

Here’s the text of Hugh Freeze’s answers to two questions on Alabama staffer Tyler Siskey, who was a part of Freeze’s staff at Ole Miss last year.

“I don’t know where he typically is. Certainly, I’ll say that Alabama had a wonderful defensive plan for us. I give them a lot of credit for the work they put in in preparing for us, whether it was in the summertime or just in the week. Nick and Kirby are two of the best in the business. Not that they need a lot of help in preparing a game plan, but I’m sure Siskey helped in some way.

“Tyler Siskey’s a good man. I hate that it’s been quite the drama. Did I feel like they had an excellent plan? For whatever reason, I did. I’m sure that Nick prepares just like any of us would. I’m ready to move on to Auburn.”

(Have you or Ole Miss contacted the SEC?)

“I haven’t. I don’t know what he exactly did. I’ll leave that. Our administration is great. Alabama, I’m sure, had great administration too, and I don’t think for one minute that Nick would put himself or his program at risk in doing something that … I don’t want involved in something like that. They beat us. They lined up and beat us, and I’m ready to move on to Auburn.”

I watched the game Ole miss got thoroughly beat by Alabama. Rebels improving but the have a long way to go before competing with teams like the Tide. we shall see on down the road this season if they can regroup and compete with Auburn, TexA&M, LSU, and Arkansas. With Miss State who knows? Don’t blame Tyler Siskey for this shut out defeat.

The issue is whether Alabama was using 10 coaches, not stealing signs. It’s our job to disguise our signs, but it’s Alabama’s job to comply with NCAA rules. Saban want’s me to believe that Tyler Siskey was standing at the front of the coaches press box, with binoculars, and talking while a coach with a headset is right next to him, during a pivotal moment of the game, but not coaching. Bull doohickey. if Ole Miss got caught doing the same, no one would give us the benefit of the doubt.

I wonder if PA can find the name of the coach sitting next to Siskey and ask him on record what was said.
