Tuesday Practice Report

Serderius Bryant may have been on the money about Mike Hilton as the Manziel “spy.” Hilton was working some at Huskie during media viewing periods today.

Defensive end CJ Johnson was still in a boot and on crutches but was expected to be evaluated by training staff after practice, Hugh Freeze said.

Jeff Scott was not dressed out, but that was a precautionary measure, Freeze said. Scott has a thigh bruise.

When freshman Derrick Jones was moved to corner the idea was that with his 6-foot-3 frame he could help against bigger, more physical wide receivers. Texas A&M’s 6-5 Mike Evans certainly fits that description.

Defensive coordinator Dave Wommack didn’t have much to say about Jones specifically but said the Rebels “will need everyone” against A&M.
