‘Wing Night’ and SEC Media Days

Good stuff from The Mother Ship this morning.

Andy Kennedy has the personality that has always made him a hit in interviews. These days the questions are all about Marshall Henderson, even though the Rebels return their backcourt intact from an SEC tournament championship team and one that made the program’s first NCAA trip in more than a decade. Henderson remains suspended with no announced decision on the games he’ll miss.

Henderson’s suspension did not keep him from earning first-team All-SEC status. That’s something that eluded him at the end of last year.

SEC poll, All-SEC team

New Ole Miss women’s coach Matt Insell overflows with confidence, and that is spilling over to the team he inherits in spite of a difficult recent past for the Rebels.

Confident Ole Miss women

Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace didn’t exactly call out his offensive linemen after the Auburn game but did say, “We’ve got to be better up front,” publicly assessing their play in a way that’s usually reserved for the coaching staff.

What followed was Wallace taking his linemen out for wings, something he hopes to do on a more regular basis.
