Praise for Bo Wallace from Les Miles

The decisions of Bo Wallace were a constant story line in 2012. Obviously a lot of effort went into his improved handling of the football this season.

If he’s as fortunate over the back half of the season as he was the front half he’ll throw no more than six interceptions this season compared to 17 from a year ago.

Even in the streak of four games and 130-plus passes without a pick, Wallace threw a couple that could have been intercepted but weren’t.

Anyway, great improvement in that area for Wallace.

Interesting comments from LSU coach Les Miles on the Ole Miss quarterback earlier this week.

Well, I think with age he’s developing very well. He’s always had kind of a really live arm, and he makes — I think he always makes — really good decisions. Just with a little bit more age you make those (good) decisions more,” Miles said.

Wallace had a solid game against LSU last year. He carried 11 times for 54 yards and scored on runs of 1 and 58 yards.

He faced a lot of pressure and was sacked three times but connected on a couple of deep passes with Donte Moncrief. Wallace was 15-for-35 passing, but was intercepted three times. He threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns.

Moncrief had six catches for 161 yards and two scores.
