Whigham honored by SEC

Ole Miss defensive end Cameron Whigham has been named the SEC’s defensive lineman of the week.

Whigham has a sack, a pressure and a pass break-up in the Rebels’ 27-24 win over then-No. 6 LSU Saturday night.

The Ole Miss defense posted season highs of three sacks and three interceptions. LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger had thrown only two interceptions on the season going into the game.

Whigham has 20 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss on the season.
