Tuesday Practice Update

From the questionable group among the wounded list:

RB Jeff Scott was dressed and appeared to be engaged. Asterisk: We don’t see much in the viewing periods these days as in no team periods.

Also dressed and participating were linebackers Keith Lewis and Serderius Bryant.

Here’s Freeze:

Under the new policy for discussing injuries, Monday is it. I don’t expect much more clarity through the week. I suspect Bryant’s presence suggests the Rebels’ tackling leader, coming back from a concussion, will be available for Idaho. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him play only a little or not at all.

Backup linebacker Keith Lewis was also dressed.

Starting defensive end Cameron Whigham was not, and linebacker Temario Strong was working with the defensive linemen.

Freeze did mention that center Evan Swindall missed today’s practice with pink eye. Afterward we saw Justin Bell beginning to snap the ball a little bit by himself.

When Dave Wommack was putting in the game plan the starting line was Bryon Bennet and John Youngblood at the ends and Woodrow Hamilton and Lavon Hooks at the down spots.

The corners were Charles Sawyer and Derrick Jones. I didn’t see cornerback Mike Hilton out there today.

When I was watching special teams four players were back fielding punts: Trae Elston, Jordan Holder, Ja-Mes Logan and Trey Bledsoe. Judging from Freeze’s comments he’s looking forward to having Scott back there.
