Vandals’ probable starter

Just a few notes here on Idaho’s Taylor Davis.

According to a Monday report posted by the Twin Falls Times-News at, Davis, because of injuries to Idaho’s first two quarterbacks, is on track to start Saturday night at Ole Miss.

He’s a senior who has started four games over the last two years but none this season.

Davis has appeared in three games in 2013 and has completed 14-of-39 attempts for 199 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

He was a part of a three-quarterback competition for the job before falling off the pace.

Here’s his bio from the school’s website.

Denham Springs, La., native, Mississippian since 1989 with a stop in Meridian before arriving in Tupelo. Daily Journal beat writer since 1996, covering Ole Miss since 2002.
