Trends: This will be the 86th homecomeing game at Ole Miss. The Rebels are 68-15-2 in the first 85.

Notes: Idaho is an FBS independent. … The only other Idaho team faced by Ole Miss was Idaho State in 1996, a 38-14 Rebels victory. Boise State is on the 2014 schedule. … Laquon Treadwell’s 39 catches are a record for Ole Miss freshmen. … The game matches two of the top five punters in the nation. Idaho’s Austin Rehkow is averaging 47.0 yards on 50 punts, Ole Miss’ Tyler Campbell 45.6 yards on 27 attempts. … Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace is fourth in the SEC in total offense (278.9 ypg), fifth in passing (255.7 ypg). … This is the first meeting between Ole Miss and Idaho, but the Rebels have a history with Paul Petrino, having faced him when he was on his brother, Bobby Petrino’s staff, at Arkansas.

Summing it up: “It’s unreasonable for you think you can get young men up to their maximum emotional peak week in and week out. That’s not a reasonable expectation. A reasonable expectation is they’re going to play extremely hard and with some level of focus. I don’t think we did that really well early on in the season, when they had a game where they felt like they should win.” – Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze

Prediction: Ole Miss 39, Idaho 15

I feel a new beginning starts today with the Ole miss Rebel football team, a run for a high seasonal bowl game as back in the olden years. i believe the only obstacle in their path to a 9-3 record is probably Missouri, but they have beaten the Tigers once and that means they can do it again..
